I've been writing a Sci-fi story involving a guy who is kidnapped by aliens who have a listening post on mars then decides to throw in with them. They get NASA all worked up by going out and standing behind Perseverance making sure their shadows appear in the rover's camera. A childs doll painted green with a foil space suit is mounted on the front of the rover as well. They also drag Opportunity back to the alien base and overhaul it giving it a fusion power plant and rig it up so that they can control it as well. They then send it out to rear all over the Martian landscape. By the way, these are peaceful aliens from a paralell universe listening to all of the radio and TV signals coming from earth.
