That was indeed Iowa State in Ames. Good place. Liked it alot.<br /><br />Wyoming was my next choice (and next offer).<br /><br />Good up and coming department, and the WIRO telescope...<br /><br />But Irvine got my attention.<br /><br />It's a bigger department (with equal quality of researchers), doing more of the stuff I like. While it doesn't have a large telescope to itself, it does have access to Licke (basically as much time as a grad student wants) and a grad student has a better chance of snagging time on keck. They're also growing (as much or more than Wyoming) as they hired 5 new astronomers in the last year or so.<br /><br />So, Irvine was my final choice. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p align="center"><font color="#c0c0c0"><br /></font></p><p align="center"><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">--------</font></em></font><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">--------</font></em></font><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">----</font></em></font><font color="#666699">SaiphMOD@gmail.com </font><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">-------------------</font></em></font></p><p><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">"This is my Timey Wimey Detector.
