See the moon snuggle up to Venus early on Oct. 10

I enjoyed some very cool mornings yesterday and this morning (4-5C temps) and mostly clear skies. Yesterday morning between 0500-0600 EDT, I used my 90-mm refractor telescope to look at the waning crescent Moon and Venus in Leo, some great views, much earthshine on the Moon with fainter stars in Leo visible about 6-12 arcminutes from the lunar limb. 71x views so Venus about 42% illuminated, distinct phase nearly half-moon shape. This morning, some more enjoyable views of the Moon, Venus, Regulus and other stars in the east, unaided eye observations. Excellent earthshine on the Moon.
