William Shatner, actor of Star Trek fame, has turned down a free ticket on the first passenger flight of SpaceShipTwo. "I don't want to vomit in space and die" is the essential message of the article. I agree with your opinion, esp. in light of "technobabble" and warp drives etc. I still think that Shatner could have been less of a butthead in that interview. Ummm, you do realize Shatner's reputation IS that he is a butthead? Although it seems like he has come to terms with being a butthead over the last few years. He's much more fun now that he admits he can be an arrogant jerk!<br /><br />Anyway where did you get the idea Shatner was a space enthusiast to begin with? Besides he is what 75 now? Not really an age most people would want to start taking up extreme sports--a suborbital ride isn't exactly a flight in a Cessna.
