Sun-exploring spacecraft Solar Orbiter has captured this video of a glowing crescent of Venus as it flew past the planet during a gravity-assist flyby on Monday (Aug 9).

I'm surprised they weren't able to adjust the brightness enough to give us a better idea what Venus actually looks like. I've yet to see a "true" color for Venus, but perhaps they are now available, somehwere.

The lower video showed a colorful artwork for Venus that matches what was predicted by a Ricardo Nunes about a decade ago. I don't think it was ever confirmed.
