main magnoflux tunnel

What do you mean by this? I cannot find any such terms under definitions: LINK

The flow of solar wind is distributed depending on the solar activity so it does not really matter where Soho is but where the solar flares occur. The impact of a solar flare directed at Eart would be far more intense than one in another direction. Now at the point L1 the orbit of Soho is not going to affect determinantly the measured results since the orbit is quite small.

Oh SEARCH. I'm not sure you want to know what magnoflux is.

Link to Dr. Seuss's labratory

Lets just say everything is made up of little pyramids and divine light.

Magnoflux is the Divine Fabric of Electromagnetic Dark Space which supports AC light-energy and time.

sigh. From what i can tell. It's his little word. Can't find a source for it anywhere else.
"An organism at war with itself is a doomed organism." - Carl Sagan

Search
Yes, if the orbit of SOHO does not get nearer to the centre line than 50 thousand kilometres then it is will probably not measure the major flow in the solar wind that is earthbound.
However, at certain positions SOHO may intersect with the solar wind heading towards our moon. If SOHO does eclipse the moon then SOHO should cross through the magnoflux tunnel between Sun and moon. There may be some evidence yet!
Following an argument I had recently about failure of probes to find the return electrons. It suddenly occurred to me that the flow of + ions is made with reference to the space craft metal tube. But this is of course not at earth potential but of the potential of the return electrons surrounding the spacecraft. So the probe cannot measure the electron wind as it is submerged and in contact with it.

Proof of the electrons may come when our planet is in conjunction with one of the outer planets by looking for an increase in Cosmic Background Radiation Temperature which should increase in the combined solar wind direction.

Clive
Clive
