I was wondering - when a Space X rocket returns with a vertical landing, how hot is the rocket upon landing? Does it take a a long time for it to cool down?

Poorly thought out question. The "rocket" is a large object consisting of many many parts and many regions. Different parts are different temperatures, dramatically so. Engine nozzles and internal parts -> HOT. Inside the top of the stage likely below water freezing. Etc. And define cool down to what? Ambient temperature, or hot enough to touch, etc. Sheesh.
