Back in the 70s there was a science fiction series called UFO. It had some pretty good tech (along the lines of space 1990) but it had a stranger less stupid plot. I wouldn't mind seeing it again, but I think a keyword search would be a disaster (considering the title). Anyone know where it might be purchased?

Also, there was another really intersting science fiction series called "Star Cops" that ran ~15 years ago. I wouldn't mind scoring that one too.

Any pointers?
Ok, the wife is going to order it for me from Amazon. As I recall it was a bit campy, but it was a pretty cool series. Couldn't wait for it to come on when I was a kid. Back then I never would have imagined that I'd be watching the complete series from one little disk on a big ass flat panel. Back then the TV set was giant with a 17" or so display. I guess there has been some collateral progress... Too bad the spaceships will be more fantastic today than they seemed back then.

Thanks to your links, I have received the box set of the entire UFO series and watched the first DVD (3 episodes). I must say that it is really good as I remembered it. You have to look past the 70's score (not too obnoxious) and I find it to be an well acted with excellent props. The aliens and their purpose are suitably dark and alien. Can't wait to get more time to watch the rest of the episodes.
UFO is one of the best Science Fiction TV shows EVER!! Yes, it'll look a little dated & retro now, but the miniatures work of the FX could scarcely be bettered now and the scripts were very good.

Sadly, it only lasted one season (long story) and late last year both of the show's 2 leading men, Ed Bishop and Michael Billinton died within days of each other.

*USEFUL WEBLINKS:

http://www.ufo-dvd.com/

http://www.fanderson.org.uk/fanderson.html#Club

http://www.fanderson.org.uk/prodguides/prodind2.html#UFO

http://www.ufoseries.com/

One Percent of Federal Funding For Space: America CAN Afford it!! LEO is a Prison -- It's time for a JAILBREAK!!
