Any Surface fans here? NBC has decided not to continue airing future seasons. Sci-Fi has shown one Surface marathon and is showing another on August 15th, the day the DVD is being released. Surface fans are contacting the powers that be with the hope that either NBC will pick it up as a mid-season replacement or SciFi will pick it up. If you'd like to request future seasons of Surface, contact info is below. I went down to Screen Gems in Wilmington, NC a couple of weeks ago. I got to see the set for the sub that they used in the first episode. One word about that set: cramped. Also got to see the set for the inside of a light house that was seen briefly in the first eppisode as well. Verry detailed for about :30 seconds of screen time.

So, again we are defeated. I resented the fact they flooded and devoured my dear island of Puerto Rico...actually that was kind of cool.

"unfortunately always took a backseat to a bunch of insipid drama."

yes, that is a common trend now, build a drama show - sometimes oriented towards youth and teens - around a scifi premise, instead of making an actual scifi show.

The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.
--- James Clerk Maxwell
