Two things struck me: In the first video, watch the spot fire explode just before 4:00. That is nasty.

Santa Ana wind conditions have caused a new flareup of fires near Los Angeles.

This time, the "Big Iron" was thrown in at the outset. Tanker 10 was used on the first day, but the fire got an advantage when darkness curtailed air operations.
