This is based on "The Big Bang" was the start of our universe

1) Time would have been zero at the beginning: t=0
2) According to Einstein time and space are relative so there wasn't any space since there was no time
3) This is the tricky part. Steven Hawking was talking at one time about the need for gravity to have varied during the past for his theories to work. Gravity and space seem to be connected somehow. We know at least that matter's gravity can bend space. So what if there wasn't any gravity since there wasn't any space? g=0?

Huh? What theories? Could you be a bit more specific?

What do you mean 'connected somehow'?

We know at least that matter's gravity can bend space.

Well, gravity can be defined as a warpage of space.

So what if there wasn't any gravity since there wasn't any space?

If there was no space then there would be no energy and no mass so there would be no gravity. Sure, whats the big deal with that?

Dude, t=0 doesn't mean there's no time, it just means that it's the point where we start our clocks. You can set t=0 whenever you'd like: in fact, if you're making a measurement on Earth (say, measuring the path of a rocket for a high school physics experiment) you'll usually set t=0 to be whenever you start your stopwatch. It's just an arbitrary measuring point.

As far as I know, t=0 is simply a reference point for the origin of the big bang. The universe began to take shape in an unfathomably short amount of time. By human standards, we can't calculate t=0 as some point in time, because it didn't represent any length of time, simply the beginning. So, t=0 should be taken as a point of origin, not a point in time.
