Is there a simple weather station on the moon? I would think it would be helpful to get constant readings from a Solar-powered weather station. This unit would compare temps over time to see trends in Sun activity vs temperature. We might get a better idea of how much greenhouse is contributing to the earth temperature and climate change.

Are they showing a fluctuation in Sun output as a trend over the years?

The Solaaaar Constant varies with the 11 year sunspot cycle, about a 1% variation. There are other cycles of longer period, lesser magnitude.
