It's not just the insects,. It's the global temperature rise, the carbon dioxide increase, the frogs, the birds, the low order sea life, sundry plants, the Amazon rain forest, the Artic, wild land development, poaching, as well as other bio-systems which as they diminish or go extinct push the needed resources for human survival to a "tipping point". Whether the exponential grown in the world's human population, (the driver of 90+% of the deleterious effects in the above list), will abate, level off, or reverse in 30 or so years I do not know, (and I don't think so). But given the Earth's 3.5BY history of life, the probability is that Nature and Evolution will do what its always done. And H. Sapiens will have done all the work despite our ability to predict and visualize. Given the current global pandemic as a foreshadowing, don't relish the future post 2050ce.
