The Sombrero Galaxy's star-forming days are nearly over — and the James Webb Space Telescope may know why

Quiet for now and needing only a passing match, passing through, probably to reignite and relight it in a new birth of a quite vigorously active galaxy.

Now what might that passing match, passing through, be one day? Could even be a mirror similar to the Sombrero itself. Something like, "When universes collide...."

I am not an astronomer, but this is a jewel. It appears most of the stars have migrated to a common distance. They should have a common velocity. Perhaps it’s the fate of a spiral galaxy. Maybe this jewel is very very old. Maybe it didn’t have a bar.

In any case she’s a beauty.
