I'm getting the feeling Porco is a bit vexed with this lady's vapid questions...

Good news is that there doesn't seem to be any data loss in the pictures.

strangely, the control room feed had the image up on one of their overhead screens for several minutes before the feed with the commentators got it.

Yeah, and they didn't seem very exited. This long-haired guy was just standing and eating or something similar. I don't think they know they are live.

Looks white as well -- but it's too small to tell yet, I guess.

A image was just shown on the NASA channel that shows how they enhance titan images, strangely I have NOT seen this image online yet!

Does anyone know if this image has been released?

Seeing it on TV I was sure I could see craters in the dark areas north of the white area(Forgot name of that highland)
One could imagine the dark area was an ocean. But I think they said there was no reflection from an ocean, so it is probably not liquid.

Thanks!

Well what you People think?

I think I see at least 2 craters. They look weathered a bit.

Maybe they are dryicebergs? Although they do have circular shape...

That image was taken yesterday, BTW.

Curiously, they didn't mention the threads that I heard... Image artifact or not? Whoah, nice picture showing up now.

Looks like a crater to me. I'm surprised that the dark area appears to be solid. (But the night is young.)

Has anybody managed to get the raw pictures yet? Site seems to be slashdotted...

The Cassini home page says that the playback will last 7 1/2 hours more. I was unable to get to the raw images page -- the site must be getting hammered.
