Cool Video, although it took me a while to get my bearings prior to SRB sep.

What a great video! I love how quickly it goes from the blackness of space to SRB splashdown. Incredible.

Woah, that was something else...
That is the sort of video NASA needs to be doing! This sort of thing can inspire a next generation of astronauts.
I wish NASA had a better public relations team

The fish eye lense fooled me into thinking the srb was higher than it was - it curved the horizon.

Just a few questions about the video;

What was the reason for the camera being there? It doesn't seem to show much of the ET.

There was some curious whistles when the tank was oriented at certain angles, could this be because air was blowing over the nozzle, like when you blow across a bottle?

Did they put a mic on there too? That would seem to be a little pointless.

What I thought was cool was that during descent, the camera would alternate between sky and cloud tops. Everytime you spun back to the clouds, they were ominously closer.

yes, I'm crossposting this from another thread since this one now covers the SRB video specifically ....

Where on the (left) SRB was that camera mounted?

At what alt are they jettisoned? And to what altitude do they finally reach?

That was an amazing video ... the SRB sounded nearly *alive* (crank the volume up) as it turned and twisted and fell ....

I could see bits of foam popping off the intertank. Just little white divots forming instantly.

That ascent and descent was truly awesome, I'm glad I got to see it. Makes me think that in another timeline, you could easily charge someone for that ride.
