Astrophotography has its problems. I have one. Vibration from the shudder opening and closing, im thinking about trying styrofoam blocks under the tripod legs. what do you think?
1) Get a big piece of black cardboard.
2) Hold the cardboard in front of the telescope to block the light
3) Open the shutter manually.
4) Wait for vibration to dampen out.
5) Remove the cardboard.
6) Wait for the exposure time to elapse.
7) Put the cardboard back in front of the telescope.
8) Close the shutter.

Don't touch the telescope with the cardboard.
