Replying to:

stills take from first film I'll have to concede - its space debris coming down, but what bothers me or is throwing me off is the angle of descent. I've seen few "rocks" fall from the sky but not as much as MW has in his nights out...The angle that the debris is descending seems wrong to me should it not be coming in like an arc like the top of a circle rather than the arc of a bottom of circle.. unless we are seeing an illusion because there's no visual markers to judge with???Anyways ...I stand corrected once again, and I'm always willing to admit I'm wrong
Posted by lildreamer

I think the change in angle is caused by the photgrapher. (Also 10 degrees F with 30 mph winds).

Hopefully by then I'll be able to get up there. That reminds me, I should check to see that the Observatory hasn't lost power.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too!

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
Not all of the Russian rocket / missile tests / re-entries are listed, they shoot up stuff all the time and some of it does not reach orbit but falls back creating phenomenas like the one seen on the video.

Higher up in the north they see similar events more regularly.

Replying to:

That seems correct to me. Too slow for a meteoritic Fireball, but looks very similar to many reentries of space junk.
Posted by MeteorWayne

That seems correct to me as well. It looks to me to be a fairly large stage of a rocket booster that is disintegrating upon reentry.

It seems to be a natural consequence of our points of view to assume that the whole of space is filled with electrons and flying electric ions of all kinds. - Kristian Birkeland

Im happy nobody saw an alien spacecraft with little green men looking out the windows. If this was in mexico it would be on every television station saying we are being visited. I agree this definately is a fallen piece of a sattellite or space junk. Sometimes it amazes me that certain people can't see the obvious and always reach for the roswell effect. The most obvious conclusion about ufo's from another planet is there not real until we find a real crashed ship, dead or alive aliens,or real proof we can hold in our hands. Videos and pictures don't count for anything, yes they can wet our appetite but its not proof. I saw a light as big as a footfield so its an alien spacecraft. Thats not proof, thats a supposition from a person who believes there are people visiting us from another planet. Show some real proof. You might as well be talking about bigfoot, the yedi, crop circles. The tv show the X files is the main culprit for alot of people believing in aliens, its a tv show but as usual people believe shows like that are true. Just give me one ounce of undeniable proof and ill shut up. I have studied ufo's since the 70's and I have finally come to the conclusion that until there is proof im not wasting my time on fairy tales. Does anybody really think that a spacecraft at roswell could have been made of balsa wood, foil, and string,if you do go make one out of it,better yet go find us some real alien spaceship parts.

Replying to:

Okay. It's not a UFO. It has been identified to my satisfaction by the esteemed folks above. Nothing E.T. I say always that 95% of UFO sightings can be explained as anything but E.T.
Today newsmedia in Finland reports about 2 new sightings from last night in different parts of the country by multiple witnesses. The other having a dozen fireballs moving in formation and even stopping for awhile. No pics or video yet.

Atleast fireballs in formation moving erratically has all the characteristics of the recent lantern sightings in many places.

Candle burning inside a lightweight paper dome can rise to relatively high altitude and move distances.

Replying to:

Now there is an image that is said to be one of the last night's light balls. Looks like a lantern to me:http://yle.fi/ecepic/archive/00089/tulipallo_89145b.jpg
Posted by aphh

heres a great video of a cool little craft called a quadrocopter - small about a foot in design with 4 rotors. What interests me the most is the light designs he attached. It makes for a very convincing UFO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjFkU4zDhso&feature=related

who needs to touch up or create fake photos when you have these little beauties flying around....

That is a very nice Led-powered copter ;)

I wonder if it was possible to build a much larger copter like that, say, ten times bigger and more powerful? I get greedy when I see flying machines like that.
