This has been bugging me for a while and I figure this forum is the perfect place to look for an answer. Does anyone know the movie of which I am thinking? This is all pretty fuzzy, so don't take my memory at face value and please enlighten me if you can.

Basic plot chunk:
Bad guy is taking over the universe/galaxy/solar system and plans to live forever by replacing his worn out body parts with those of other beings he conquers.

Good guys, including at least one human hero and a group of 4 glowing blue humanoid telepathic aliens plan to assassinate the bad guy.

Here are the only two scenes I remember:

Scene 1.
We find out the glowing blue aliens are telepathic and all feel each other's emotions/sensations. One eats food and they all chew in unison. The other good guys are amazed or whatever.

Scene 2.
One blue alien sacrifices himself so the bad guy's doctor can replace one of the bad guy's arms with the alien's arm. The three remaining blue aliens then attempt to remotely (telepathically) control the arm and thus force the bad guy to kill himself. Unfortunately the bad guy's doctor is nearby and via a struggle they are able to amputate the arm (sans anethesia) and save the bad guy.

That's it. That's all I can remember. I have been racking my brain trying to recall other details so I can maybe figure out what this movie is. Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh, there is another scene where the remaining blue aliens while flying away in their ship are shot and go spinning off into the distance, but that's incredibly generic and probably not-helpful. :)

Hey,

This sounds like a "B" movie I was saw a long time ago. I think it had someone like a young Bill Pullman,(the guy from Independence Day, While you were sleeping), playing the role of a space cowboy who didn't want to get involved, but had to for one reason or the other. And for his crew were the aliens that I think were told to contact him.

A very forgetable movie but for midnite not so bad. That may not be it, but that is what it triggered in me.

Hm. Well, it's not a Bill Pullman flick, so that removes one potential actor from the pool. :)

I'm sure this was a "b" movie ... probably something along the quality level and production year of "Krull" would be my guess.

I only wish I could recall more about it so I might be able to look it up. IMDB doesn't do well with generic searches like "glowing blue aliens".

I saw Battle Beyoind the Stars ages ago. remember very little. the friend who brought it home for us to watch said it was better than Star Wars. not.

that spacehip on the poster has breasts! I do remember that, actually.

The only laws of matter are those which our minds must fabricate, and the only laws of mind are fabricated for it by matter.
--- James Clerk Maxwell

Yep, that sure looks like it.

As usual the folks on IMDB have a very wide variety of views regarding this film. I wonder if the local Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video carries it ... or if it's worth watching again.
