MeteorWayne pointed out this is the same link as at start of thread. :oops: got it mixed with 3rd version of the article.

How tides between planets and stars affect their evolution is a hot topic amongst exo-planet people. Thier seems to be an inner limit; which tides may explain. The migrating planets (tidal effect), reach an orbital resonance, get stuck and then get evaporated by a combination of stellar wind, heating and tides. Fun stuff :D
