Who would buy an Asteroid flyby?

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out if it would be a good idea to try to license NASA's NEA Scout solar sail design and commercialize it. It's interesting because it can operate without propellant and gain delta-v as long as the electronics hold out.

It seems rather generally useful, but who would you market it to?

If you are interested, I can suggest Asteroids - Relics of Ancient Time by Michael Shepard 2015.

On mining, he writes, page 311, "although it may seem like the stuff of science fiction, there are serious people today who are dedicated to the goal of mining asteroids for water and metals. In the past five years, two companies have formed with just that goal: Planetary Resources, Inc. and Deep Space Industries. There will likely be others".

I have no commercial interest in this area.

Sorry about that. The book is not that old 2015, so I guess their business plans were not that sound???
