The Great Attractor is a gravitational anomaly in intergalactic space at the center of the local Laniakea Supercluster, in which the Milky Way is located, in the so-called Zone of Avoidance that is very difficult to observe in visible wavelengths due to the obscuring effects of our own galactic plane. It's sucking everything to this point

The FACT that Russia, China and others have been launching "secret" satellites with secrecy, is ridiculous and, crazy!
"Flat Earthers" are crazy, too! And ridiculous!

Oh and, speaking of... As a new daily visitor here at Space.com, I always get lost and wander out into the Universe every time I reach the edge of Space.com! Very similar to "space"! =)

Jupiter has long held my interest.

Jupiter is a gas giant ... it doesn’t have a true surface. If you were to journey there you would have nowhere to land on! As you traveled through the gaseous layers your craft would be subject to the extreme pressures and temperatures deep inside the planet; they would conspire to crush, melt, and vaporize your spacecraft as it continued deep into Jupiter's gaseous core. Your craft would eventually come to a point where it could neither go forward nor escape backwards; you would be entombed forever inside the gaseous giant.

I would very much like to enter the telescope giveaway. There's a giant comet which will be passing the Sun Dec. 8th and will be visible for those with an 8" wide telescope. Arriving just before Christmas for those who are able to see it.

THE FOOTPRINTS ON THE MOON WILL BE THERE FOR 100 MILLION YEARS.
The Moon has no atmosphere, which means there is no wind to erode the surface and no water to wash the footprints away. This means the footprints of the Apollo astronauts, along with spacecraft prints, rover-prints and discarded material, will be there for millions of years.

:)

If two pieces of the same type of metal touch is space they will permanently bond due to what’s
known as cold welding and it happens because the atoms of two pieces of metal have no way of knowing they are separate. This doesn’t happen on Earth because of the air and water found between the pieces.

The Space fact I would like to share here is: Irrespective of how mysterious Space is, humanity will always be mesmerized with all the mind bending observations. Thanks to space.com for bringing all the hot topics for us to stay updated with latest developments.

According to the Big Rip theory, in a few billion years, a mysterious, permeating force known as "dark energy" will become so powerful that it could pull every ounce of Earth's matter apart on an atomic level.

A kilonova is an event that occurs in a compact binary system when a neuron star and a black hole merge . it creates a magnetic field that is trillions of times stronger than that of earth in a matter of 1 millisecond . kilonova create gamma ray burst

The Sun's rays carry radiant energy from the sun in all directions. If the ray hits matter, the matter absorbs part of the energy and heats up. Thus the earth heats up, Moon and other material bodies are heated. A transparent object would be heated less than a black solid object (kinda obvious though). A white object reflects much of the radiant energy and is not heated as much as a black object, which absorbs more energy. The space between the planets outside of the Sun is very nearly empty. It contains rarefied gas that absorbs none of the radiant energy from the Sun and is thus very transparent. Almost all radiant energy passes through this space without being changed or absorbed by the small amount of matter. Now you all know what happens to radiant energy from our Sun
