Judging from the velocity and the amount of debris, it's more likely that this was a man made object.<br /><br />I'll do some research! I think I found a possible object<br />A soyuz rocket body was predicted to reenter the atmosphere at 13:21 UT which would be 6:21 AM MST.<br />At that time it would be passing from north to south across the western US.<br /><br /> link <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John. The station is now correctly reporting that is was a rocket body....in fact it is the rocket used to launch the COROT spacecraft on December 27th! <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John. And as is normal for TV news, the "meteorologist" was completely incorrect in calling it a meteor shower.<br />Perhaps if he'd been a meteoricist like me, or a meteoriticist, he'd have had a clue. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John.
