LOL. Some games can really do that to ya. I kinda wanted to play an MMORPG over the summer, but i get sick of cheaters really fast. Biggest problems in MMORPGs is Playerkilling and hacking, both of which Suck the fun right out of it. I thought about it, but you really can't play more than one. I was trying to decide which one to play, Star Wars Galaxies looked interesting, but i've been hearing a lot of bad stuff about the recent changes. I also considered FFXI, but that's hacked ridiculously... I've been looking at Guild Wars too (mainly cause there's no monthly Fee. big plus.)
I think i'll stay out of it for now, though.

To kinda make this more scifi related, You should check out the near-future Game/anime series, Dot Hack (.hack//) it takes place, actually, in 2010. There's 4 games, i just got them recently. it was made in 2003, and the predictions still seem entirely possible. it's centered around the series of events concerning an MMORPG called "the World". It follows the Character Kite, who is invited into the game by his friend in "real life", Orca (the in-game name). Orca goes into a Coma after being Killed in the game, and Kite finds out it's not the first time that's happened...
