from nasaspaceflight.com

It seems that an entire thread was deleted where a poster was expressing worries over the lack of in-orbit repair/deployment/retrieval capabilities once the shuttle is phased out.
I understand most posters there are NASA employees/fanbois and that Chris Bergin(Shuttle_RTF) needs to keep them happy so that he gets his inside scoop which he then posts on the subscription portion of the site..
Oh well, they can have nasaspaceflight to themselves for all I care, if they're all happy about the current situation of this big farce/waste of taxpayer money called the US manned space program

http://asteroid-invasion.blogspot.com

http://www.solvengineer.com/asteroid-invasion.html

They also ban IP's outside of the US. Have to use Tor or a US proxy if I want to browse the site.

I take it that the $400 billion dollar deficit and $100 plus billion dollar Iraq rebuild is a wise investment of taxpayer funds.

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life. neah most posters are from outside the US.
I haven't received any email from Chris...just says account inactive when I try to logon and a whole thread in which I was involved is missing.
The post I made was definitely not inflamatory or a troll.
I,just as the thread starter, was questioning the wisdom of the current policy.

http://asteroid-invasion.blogspot.com

http://www.solvengineer.com/asteroid-invasion.html

"From NASASpaceflight.com" ?

We have no such comment on the site - which explains why you didn't link it.

Most of our visitors are US and no IP range is banned, so I'm not sure where that comment came from, but it's BS.

We have a zero tolerance rule on our site's forum, which includes the immediate wiping of threads and posts that the 100s of NASA/USA/Boeing etc. workers on our forum simply came to our site to avoid the usual &%$#@! they come across, plus an instant ban of any idiot that provokes such a "CEV is crap, Shuttle is crap" 'debate'.

If anyone doesn't like that and feels threads like this are more productive to the discussion of space flight, then there are plenty of other sites on which you can express such a viewpoint......just not on ours, we're space flight specific - nothing else.

Thanks!
Chris.

I don't think this forum is the appropriate place to discuss / argue about actions taking place on another board. I probably should have locked this when I first saw it. I will do so now.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher
