Burning objects.

Hi,I am new so I hope that this is the correct forum for this topic.Tuesday night at 2:17 am I observed a large object reintering the atmosphere here in Winter Haven, Florida.I was facing south when aproximately five or six flaming objects appeared from the west at about the 3 oclock position. This group continued east until about the 10 oclock then faded out total observation time of event was 15 seconds.I was wondering if anyone else had seen it or knew what it was.

That was about the time the Perseid meteor shower peaked, so that may be what you saw.

Thanks for the reply,I thought it may have been a sattelite reentering.It was reminded me of the Columbia disaster the way it was leaving such long golden streaks across the sky.
