Catastrophic climate 'doom loops' could start in just 15 years, new study warns

An improving understanding of how consequences of global warming play out isn't comfortable but preferring ignorance - or worse, denial - over knowledge in the face of such a serious, cumulative and irreversible problem is dangerously negligent. It isn't going to go away and with fossil fuel industries successfully resisting calls for emissions accountability and requirements to cut emissions we have reached record CO2 level.

We have to expect the real world impacts to accelerate over the coming decades and crossing tipping points will become increasingly likely.

On the positive side renewable energy continues to grow and the key technologies continue to get better and cheaper.
