My wife and I went on a trip and left my oldest son to take care of a tropical plant. When we got back the plant nearly died - but my son was adamant, he said that he took good care of it. My wife said to him that he needed to water it more. She told him when you look after a plant you need to take care of its roots, not its leaves or its branches. It is what you don't see that is most important. Humans are like that. We are all the same. All human beings. All brothers and sisters. How we treat the least of us reflects how we truly treat each other. Perhaps in the near future a global government will be formed to specifically look after ever more pressing human problems. Time may be running out. To start with, we need to find common ground. It should not be too hard, after all we are all the same. When it comes down to it we all want the same things.
