"the light of all the sunsets on earth" = interesting <img src="/images/icons/cool.gif" /> - er, IMHO <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font size="2" color="#ff0000"><em><strong>I'm a recovering optimist - things could be better.</strong></em></font> </p> </div>

Of course!<br /><br />It's a substantial event. We'll not see another for several years. There just aren't enough "several years" in a given lifespan. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p>.</p><p><font size="3">bipartisan</font>  (<span style="color:blue" class="pointer"><span class="pron"><font face="Lucida Sans Unicode" size="2">bī-pär'tĭ-zən, -sən</font></span></span>) [Adj.]  Maintaining the ability to blame republications when your stimulus plan proves to be a devastating failure.</p><p><strong><font color="#ff0000"><font color="#ff0000">IMPE</font><font color="#c0c0c0">ACH</font> <font color="#0000ff"><font color="#c0c0c0">O</font>BAMA</font>!</font></strong></p> </div>

Good point.<br /><br />I also like the 3D in space aspect. The earth shadow is out there is space opposite the sun, and the moon travels through that shadow in about a 3 hour period. Physics in action <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John. Monsters. Rain right now and more on the way but a slim chance it will break long enough to see the Moon tonight. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

Both NWS and ClearSkyClock have clouds breaking just about the time the partial eclipse starts.<br /><br />Fingers crossed.<br /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John. There should also be some very nice views of Saturn and Regulus. So, if you get "bored" check out the rings!<br /><br />v3k <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

That's one reason we'll have plenty of scopes at the NJAA observatory! <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p><font color="#000080"><em><font color="#000000">But the Krell forgot one thing John. ClearSkyClock and Weather.com both have me clear from 1600 to 0100. (40% at 1600, clear/average/average @ 1700)<br /><br />I'm setting up and testing equipment in a couple hours just to be safe. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p>.</p><p><font size="3">bipartisan</font>  (<span style="color:blue" class="pointer"><span class="pron"><font face="Lucida Sans Unicode" size="2">bī-pär'tĭ-zən, -sən</font></span></span>) [Adj.]  Maintaining the ability to blame republications when your stimulus plan proves to be a devastating failure.</p><p><strong><font color="#ff0000"><font color="#ff0000">IMPE</font><font color="#c0c0c0">ACH</font> <font color="#0000ff"><font color="#c0c0c0">O</font>BAMA</font>!</font></strong></p> </div>

All sources have us clear for the duration, and there's a brilliant glowing yellow thing against baby-blue skies at the moment. Light clouds as far as the eye can see.<br /><br />I hope I don't hex it, but I'm rolling out everything I have now. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p>.</p><p><font size="3">bipartisan</font>  (<span style="color:blue" class="pointer"><span class="pron"><font face="Lucida Sans Unicode" size="2">bī-pär'tĭ-zən, -sən</font></span></span>) [Adj.]  Maintaining the ability to blame republications when your stimulus plan proves to be a devastating failure.</p><p><strong><font color="#ff0000"><font color="#ff0000">IMPE</font><font color="#c0c0c0">ACH</font> <font color="#0000ff"><font color="#c0c0c0">O</font>BAMA</font>!</font></strong></p> </div>

15% cover, eastern sky is open.<br /><br />Moon's below the horizon still, scopes are up and roughly tracking, cameras are going hot in ten minutes. Camera memory dumped, but shooting to laptops hopefully!<br /><br />Posting from my location down the street from my house. Best Eastern exposure, but I'll be late to the party regardless. Long Island NY, I went outside just now and i think the penumbra is supposed to be about half way across the moon by now right? Through the clouds I can definatly see the moon, it is bright but the penumbra is so dark i can't see the moon behind that shadow because of the clouds. So it looks like a quarter moon instead <img src="/images/icons/frown.gif" />. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

I have good visibility. Some light clouds but not obscuring the view. At 21F it's a might nippy though. <br /><br /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p>-----------------------------------------------------</p><p><font color="#ff0000">Ask not what your Forum Software can do do on you,</font></p><p><font color="#ff0000">Ask it to, please for the love of all that's Holy, <strong>STOP</strong> !</font></p> </div>
