I've always been puzzled with whether or not GR addresses the essence of gravity. If Earth is traveling in a straight line, but that line is actually bent due to the bending of spacetime, does this capture what gravity "is"?

I assume not since I think they are still hunting for the graviton, right?

Would the flux density of gravitons, if discovered, be the explanation for the bending of spacetime, perhaps?
