Happy New Year

Hello, all...<br />It's been busy here since my first post, with the holidays and all. Hope you all had a safe holiday season.<br />The forecast here in the Northwest is for clear and very cold for the next few days. Last night, I took advantage of the clear skies and found comet Macholtz (sp), imaged Saturn with Titan and Hyperion, watched Jupiter's moons Io and Europa line up one on top of the other (imaged that, too...see my website). Then later this morning, I captured some solar prominences with my Coronado PST and Nikon Coolpix. Tonight, I will try to image the comet with my Olympus OM-2 and 800 film.<br />I had pretty good luck last summer with the aurora shooting with 400 speed film, so this should be great. I'll post images to my website soon. Stay tuned....JIM
