Most definately read it,<br /><br />just remember that the movie is about as related to the book as was the movie I, Robot related to it's progenitor book.<br /><br />Some notable difference<br /><br />Infantry is not Co-ed<br />Soldiers have super powered armor<br />More aliens than just the bugs<br />Johnny Rico is a phillipina.<br />Johnny's father doesn't die<br /><br /><br />etc.<br /><br />But it is a really good read, especially if you are into military tactics, but even if you aren't.
