Down here in south Florida we've had nasty weather as a cold front moves down. It is now 8:00 p.m. EST, the sky is clear and I've been enjoying Jupiter, Venus and the crescent Moon. Quite a sight even without a scope or binoculars! Dag it's getting cold!!!

I had binoculars and telescope out to have a good look at jupiter and her moons. Jupiter and Saturn are by fay my favourite viewing. I even got to point it out to a couple of young kids who live in my street. They wanted to know what i was looking at through my telescope so i showed them. I love the look on a kids face when you tell them that the shiny things near jupiter are the moons and when they see the rings around saturn! No-body believes that you can see those things so clearly and so simply until they see it for themselves.

Assumption is the mother of all stuff ups

Gimme some Schmack Schmack!

When I was driving home I saw two "satalites" next to the moon. I thought that it was quite strange that two quite bright objects were right next to the moon. Beautiful sight!!!

Who says the impossible isn't really impossible?

"have no advance notice will almost certainly wonder, as they cast a casual glance toward the moon on that night, what those two "large silvery stars" happen to be? "

LMAO, that is exactly what i thought until now. I was sitting out on my porch and was think what the hell? I see the moon all the time and don't remember those two big bright orbs. I figured it had to be Venus and either Jupiter or Saturn...

You wanna talk some jive?
