Start-1 LV was successfully launched from Svobodniy ("The Free One"), a military base in far eastern region of Russia. Israeli satellite EROS-B reached 500km orbit, has separated and transmitted first telemetry to the ground station.

"Only 30sec on the launch pad! Who can launch faster?"

Well, it's an ICBM. In nuclear WW3 every second counts, and can't have scrubs due to bad weather or acting ECO sensors, enemy warheads might already be on their way.

If we want spaceflight to become routine then launchers must return to their origins, military missiles, at least as far as LCCs go

With all the hyperbole that they have had over the last 10 years with one another but then again maybe Russia was duped this time around by Iran! Or better yet for those conspiracy people maybe the USA and Russia have plans on taking out Iran in the first place so we can all live off there oil...
