This is not news, cobalt/nickel/chromium alloys have been used for decades. If you ever flew on a commercial aircraft, you flew with multiple parts made from some mixture of these elements.
You need to reread this article. Doesn’t say it is new, but new findings about the properties were discovered! 🤓
