Since the third Anniversary of the loss of Columbia and her crew is approaching, I thought some of you might like to see the tribute movie my buddy Grant Preston and I produced a couple of years ago:

http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=1225&start=1

My thanks to Chris Bergin for his download permission.

One Percent of Federal Funding For Space: America CAN Afford it!! LEO is a Prison -- It's time for a JAILBREAK!!

A wonderful yet poignant dedication to Columbia and her heroic crew, matt. I found the helmet and mission patch pictures especially moving. It's hard to believe it's been nearly 3 years.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!

It's a very fitting tribute and a pleasure to host it. Please note you're all very welcome to right click and save the video.

There's a couple of difficult weeks coming up and I hope the crews of 51L and 107, the families and friends and the engineers and techs involved are in everyone's minds, along also with Challenger and Columbia - who in the words of Robert Crippen during the 107 memorial "also had their lives cut short in their prime."

The astronauts should not - and will not - be forgotten.

As much as we can grieve the loss of "machines," we also shouldn't forget these beautiful birds either. Increased safety through their losses, and indeed their faults, should be the living testament, embedded in the history of how space flight got a little safer as we all progress towards new goals.

RIP.
