That'll be one small step for 'it/them/whom', one giant leap for 'Itkind ' Shameful, NASA.

The heck with names and pronouns; use numbers which can be both symbols and text. I would like to see NASA have employees like 7-of-9, (seven-of-nine). Sadly, if NASA did so, astronauts might decline trips into cold, lonely, space in favor of a shared office with such a named person. So NASA would have to send those bodacious 7-of-9's along with the "whatevers" into space in which case those astronauts may not want to return to Earth too quickly.

People, it's not that difficult. Name badge says:

First name Second name.

Period. No grand sociological gestures. If the person has a doctorate, the badge says:

Dr. First name Second name

because that matters, practically and historically.

Period. It's not rocket science.

I don't know which is more cringe-worthy: the use of a ridiculous word like "allyship" in a statement presumably written by someone who passed basic English (and so should know the word "alliance"), or the forced embrace of ridiculous "gender science" by actual scientists who probably know better, but are likely in fear of losing their government jobs if they don't knuckle under.
