Does anyone know if there any graphical scale comparisons on the net of Sundancer vs ISS modules eg. Destiny, Zvezda, Kibo etc

Trying to get a feel for 180 m^3 of inhabitable volume.

Its not as large as the original Transhab/ BA-330 cu.m design, but just wonder how it'd compare to space available on ISS's current modules.

Zvezda has about 89 cubic meters of pressurized volume, according to this website:
http://suzymchale.com/kosmonavtka/sm.html

(I did some volume conversions, and for analogy's sake Zvezda roughly equates to a 390 sq-ft. apartment with 8-foot ceilings. Not bad, but that figure probably doesn't account for any of the equipment, "furniture", or other fittings mounted to the inside of the pressure-vessel. Useable space is probably quite a bit less than 89 cubic-meters; but that's just a WAG on my part)

Enjoy!

--Noel
...Hey I'm not defending the arrangement, I'm just comparing volumes. :)

I would assume (WAG'ing here) that as much equipment as possible is mounted to some kind of hard-structure "stalk" (central longitudinal support). *shrug*

--Noel
> Are there any pictures of a BA-330 in a surface configuration?

yes, someone posted an image of a BA based moon lander a couple weeks ago. It was an older graphic from the previous BA website. they've been planning this from the start, it's great.

Josh

We need a first generation of pioneers.
