Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner will be touring Trek conventions together this summer.

http://www.nbc10.com/entertainment/11328340/detail.html

I remember seeing James Doughan (Scotty) years ago at a local college. He'd brought outtakes from the show and they were hilarious.

There are two rules in life.

#1 is 'don't tell anyone everything you know'.

Are we clear on this?

I once sat around an empty TV studio, shot the &%$#@! and drank beer with James Doughan (he insisted we call him Jimmy). He had been in town for a Trek Con and stopped by the local NBC affiliate for an interview, my best friend was news director at the time and gave me a call that "Scotty" was on the way. After the interview, we sat around for about an hour. Great guy.

Unlike Mark Lenard (Sarek) who was a pompous ass. Met him once too and he was such an ass, I couldn't help myself, so I mentioned, quite sarcastically, how much I enjoyed his performance in that episode of Buck Rogers where he played the dude who could take his head off.

Cab fare: $15
Con Ticket: $35
The look on an actor's face when you bring up some really crappy role they played.....priceless!!!!!

FYI: Journey to Oasis, Ambassador Duvoe

Once met and talked to Marina Sirtis for about 15 minutes at a Trek convention when she took a shine to our middle son, who at that time was 8.

We had planned on just getting a picture autographed when she took a break, but he marched up to her with the rose he'd brought along (he had a huge crush ) and things took off from there.

She presented as very friendly and down to Earth. Our son, now 23 with a family of his own, still has the picture she autographed for him hung in his house.
