object in NE sky moving very erratically

Tonight we saw an object in the NE sky moving very erratically. It flashed many colors like a satellite, but it's movements had no patterns. It also moves very fast. Before we can focus the telescope it's gone from the viewfinder. You can watch it move all directions with your naked eye. We've been seeing such objects for many months now. Can you explain what this object is??

Can you give a bit more detail,<br /><br />what is the elevation of the object and/or in what constellation does this object appear to be? What are your coordinates (roughly). <br /><br />Also, what hour is the best for trying to view this?
