First I want to thank everyone here who has taken so much time to answer my questions and provide information. But like Oliver, I want more. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br /><br />What I want is a resource on optics. Something that covers the basics well. I am understanding some of it better, but still get confused at times. Ideally, I would like a resource that maps the concepts to available hardware, but that isn't as important to me as understanding the basics. My friend,the best way for the resource related to theoptics hardware is to search through http://www.google.co.in It will help in solving ur search.If u want to read it from book,then try out for some high school level books for the fundamental.<br />Hoping the reply will be helpful to u.

If you want to play with optical design software, you may want to go to:<br /><br /> http://www.sinopt.com/<br /><br />where you can download a small free version. It can teach almost everything about elementary design. It has a number of visual graphics in displaying an optical system as well as displaying several types of optical analysis of the system. It has a number of canned systems to look at, so you do not have to create from scratch. It will take a little while to learn all it is capable of doing. But for teaching the basics, it is hard to beat this approach, in my view.<br /><br />
