The non-conspiracy theory thread ;)

Crew: 7+
Launcher: Bigelow states Atlas V or Falcon 9
Why: redundancy - he wants more than one way to get to his stations, and it sounds like this and Dragon are his picks. Makes one wonder if that first DragonLab that goes up 2 manifest slots down from Sundancer in 2011 is his.

Actually I had a question about this, I think I am in the minority in not knowing the answer, though! What exactly is supposed to be the advantage to Orion Lite? It can be launched on an existing Delta rocket, whereas Orion can't? Can Orion, in fact, be launched on existing Delta rockets?

It is called Orion Lite because it will just be an LEO capsule based on the outward design of Orion.

Why I think this thread is of value to the forum: To my knowledge, Orion Lite represents one of only two legitimate proposals for private orbital spacecraft. SpaceX Dragon is the other one that comes to mind.

Ah ok! Thanks dude, I didn't see this post before at first...I was wondering what this thread was all about. :)

If that doesn't get your attention, then you have no business reading this website, and quite frankly I am dissapointed that this thread was met simply with indifference and mocking.

lol it does get my attention now. :)

The real Orion could probably be launched on Atlas and Falcon too... But it would weigh more, cost more, and carry fewer crew because it would still be full of equipment intended for longer missions.
