Two things to point out. The first is that ANYTHING related to the government, should not be believed. They lie constantly to their people, why would anyone think a topic this sensitive would be any different? The second point is cases go WAY further than before the technology this report talks about even existed. Another point, related to the first is that videos and reports were leaked out; this is the government's attempt to be "transparent" but a way to cover up once more and cover their asses for being exposed. Whether there is anything or not, these are the facts that make it hard for this report to be taken seriously and that it is an honest, transparent report.

Perhaps the article summary is missing key points of the report, but if this panel of self proclaimed experts cannot find solid evidence in light of so much eye witness testimony, then assert that 'there's nothing out there' -- they need to be sacked and replaced immediately. An investigation into the committee may reveal deep corruption, and probable a religious bias if not involvement in higher level coverups.

If any government had information that clearly proves the existence of Aliens on or visiting Earth they had best keep it a secret. At the very least we all would need time to adjust. Excitement is one thing, facing reality is another. Slow release might work.

We constantly talk about 'the' Aliens as if there were one common culture/race/alien authority. If they exist I think that is unlikely. If more than one then that involves politics. Their politics.

The USA is not the only country on Earth. Advanced knowledge of Aliens would also exist elsewhere. If real why are governments worldwide so antagonistic with each other? You would expect sudden defensive cooperation - unless a policy of 'divide and conquer' by all Aliens existed. Or maybe the USA is special(?)

The idea that aliens can do fantastic things in our airspace - right-angle turns and the rest may be misleading. They do not interact in the same way as our aircraft. They appear separate from our environment as if not physically present in our terms. If so then the lack of physical evidence is no surprise. However this 'state' is not necessarily always maintained.

Perhaps - if 'they' exist - both biological and machine intelligence species would 'check in'. Maybe even hierarchical cultures of both or hybrids. Not necessarily directed by the biological ...

Whatever, just for now - keep the secret
