No I don't, I already said as much myself lampblack. I know one woman in particular, quite likely to kick your and my arse, us armed and her half asleep, and smart?, scary smart. Far smarter than me.<br />But I ALSO know two men, each could kill her no matter what her struggle, and one of them is a professor at Auckland University, and a author of textbooks. And men look up to him as to a giant, he can just lead men.<br /><br />I ALSO said, that I know men so FAR superior in the ability to lead men, and make command choices in times of adversity, as to make it simply FOOLISH to go looking for women to replace them. Not talking about what you settle with in some job, or your life, I am talking about the CRUCIAL position of "Commander of Warships" for a society.<br /><br />And MC, SURE, a million years from now, women may have evolved this ability. They will no longer BE women, they will be men with breasts.

That's too far in the future to even guess about.<br /><br />I don't think it would be right to "go looking" for a woman to fill a mans shoes. <br />Nor do I think women should be promoted in the military or in the private sector based on their sex. <br />I do believe that if a woman is the right person to do the job, she should not be passed over for promotion because of her sex.<br /><br />Women no longer have to stay at home to insure the survival of the tribe. <br /><br />There may be women who, in the not so distant future, prove themselves to be both as capable and heroic at directing troops in battle as any man has been. <br /><br /> <font color="black">Leadership is getting someone to do what they don't want to do, to achieve what they want to achieve... I'd vote for Janeway as a warleader. After all, she defeated the Borg.<br /><br />Sounds like a pretty darned good warleader to me.<br /><br />There is nothing genetically inherent in the male makeup to make us superior war leaders. We seem to have the edge now because of tradition, training -- an assortment of cultural assumptions regarding male and female roles. From all the postings I've seen, the best was F-Troop meets Bab.5. Imagine Corp. Agorn (Larry Storch) and Londo(?) matching wits.
