When did this 4th Ringworld book come out? And what's it called? Can't believe that I didn't pick up on that. I have to say that I prefer his SF. His most recent novel <i>Light</i> is one of the most refreshing SF novels I've read in quite a while. Nice thread, <br />Here are two series i really enjoy;<br />The soul rider or flux rider series by J.L. Chalker.<br />or <br />The Rocheworld series by R.L. Forword.<br />he also wrote Dragon’s egg.<br /> well worth a read if you like hard sf.

There is a series of books by Octavia E. Butler who is known as the only female Black Sci-Fi writer that really blows my mind. There are like four books and each one is great alone. She's no Robert E. Heinlein but she's good!!! Has anyone else read her?
