<Pure O2 for short durations ( 2 weeks or so) is not a problem for human. It is not a fire hazard at 5 psi since that is about the same O2 partial pressure as the Earth's atmosphere.>

What is the human problem with long duration pure oxygen at 5 psi?

Thanks for the explanation S_G, the fire hazard was the part I was concerned about. Fire not being a problem at low psi makes more sense now. I admit I had assumed that the pad practice runs would use the same psi as would be found in orbital conditions, rather than 10 psi more.
