Has anyone seen a list of the sensors observing the RTF flight?

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

I wonder if the WB-57 sensor attempt to be radiometrically calibrated in any sense, i.e. try to be a radiometer as opposed to looking at higher level phenomenology - i.e. did anything fall off.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

I was just looking to see if there was a public list of camera's, radar's etc. that will be observing the flight.

I have an ulterior motivation involving validation of certain models...

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

I am asking a complete stranger at SRI about the camera thats on the YB-57 - which is funny, given my legendary shyness.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

And this, which put me on to some names indirectly:

http://www.stsliftoff.com/rtf/eye/eye.htm

I just suspect though that radiometrically correct data is not what they are shooting for....

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

woot - over 2600 posts (many of them utterly worthless) - sounds like my love life, just divide by 100 and keep the utterly worthless part....that's me.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

In the series of all-day RTF briefings back in March or April, one of the presenters listed the sites and cameras which would be in use. I remember posting something about it, but I can't remember what. Perhaps a search through the past posts will bring something to light.

Doc, I heard that US Immigration is bringing in extra shipments of Japanese tourists to the Space Coast due to their penchant for the long lens while on vacation.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!
