Replying to:

Jean Michel Jarre has released another Oxygene album with a few more tracks. They're not quite as ethereal, but they're nice. Another album I like for getting spacey is "Rendezvous", the title being a play on the French word for a date (romantic or with a friend) and for spacecraft coming together in space. The album is dedicated to the final crew of the Challenger, and the last track, Dernier Rendez-Vous, was supposed to have been the first professional music recording in space. (The saxophone track was to be played by Ron McNair aboard Challenger.) It's poignant anyway, but even more so knowing it's history.
Posted by CalliArcale

Yes, I have Oxygene 7 - 13, and as you say it's not quite as ethereal, but good nonetheless. I went off of JMJ after "Magnetic Fields" as I really only liked the ethereal earlier works, so I didn't know about the space connection of Rendevous - very interesting stuff.

_______________________________________________
SpeedFreek
