A nice surprise mixed with hard to view. Sort of like a really good professional strip tease dancer. This year has been replete with Northern Hemisphere no see-em in my "neck of the woods". Hope this year turns out better.

If the "Big One" did hit my "neck of the woods", I would no longer to have really anything to complain about. On the other hand, one has to wonder, at a safe distance of course, just what it was like 65 million years ago when the last "Big One" hit. Far beyond scared senseless I think.

I think any safe distance (to be able to observe) would have been some way "off planet" - perhaps sitting on the Moon. Probably total cloud cover due to dust and other exploded into atmosphere.
