Terminator Salvation: MAJOR casting news....

Multiple major movie sites are now reporting that Christian Bale has been cast in Terminator Salvation. Most of them are reporting that he has replaced Edward Furlong as John Conner while one is reporting that he'll be playing a Terminator.<br /><br />Either way the budget has also gone way up: $185 million USD, and it's to be the first of a trilogy.<br /><br />Warner looks to be laying the groundwork for yet another franchise based on Bale. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

I just saw Bale in 'I'm Not There' -- he's talented. I'd also recommend him in 'Rescue Dawn'.

I've seen most everything he's made all the way back to Spielberg's 1987 "Empire of the Sun" and the 1990 OZ version of "Treasure Island". He's far better than 'talented', even when he was a kid. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

It premieres on Fox January 14th, 2008. <br /><br />Sarah dies of leukemia, also between T2 and T3. <br /><br />3. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (John meets his future wife Kate Brewster, Skynet's takeover & Judgment Day occurs)<br /><br />4. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (start of a new trilogy that documents the rise of John & Kate's rebellion)<br /><br />I've seen the Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles pilot and it's very cool.
